<p>Thanks guys. Don’t worry about it though. I’ve been thinking about it for the past couple of weeks and realized that its not really that big of a deal if I don’t get in. There’s always emory, and if not that, uga is a definite. They didn’t tell me why, but I e-mailed Ian to see what his perspective was and to figure out what the flaws in my app were.</p>
<p>i think you’ll get into emory. your “why emory” essay was great, you really showed that you had a personal connection to the school

<p>OMG! Is this a joke. I am so sorry to hear this east. Luckily you have back up schools. However, I am wondering if schools can see how many schools you have applied to? If so, it is the only reason I can see as a reason for your rejection, as ILR is so insecure about why applicants are wanting to study ILR.</p>
<p>Well I’m dumbfounded…that’s three awesomes (east, jemma, valvsu) they’ve denied. But the first from ILR…sorry to hear it, east.</p>
<p>Definitely let us know what Ian says about your application. You’ll get into Emory easily, not worried on that front…</p>

Because good or bad, it will be too distracting for me as I have multiple exams in the next few days! But with east not getting in. My chances don’t look to good anyways. <p>hello everyone. I got the envelope today next semester will definitely be a change, but it should be fun.</p>
<p>ironic - if the content of my decision is within the envelope then I will not know. However, if the envelope is of different size for accepted and rejected applicants, then yes. But of course, since I will not know the difference, it would not matter anyways.</p>

<p>east. for lack of better words, the admissions process is ambiguous. Two years ago today, I received my cornell rejection letter. From following you in this thread, there is no doubt in my mind that you will be successful regardless of the path you choose. good luck in the future to you.</p>

<p>east89 - I think they would be that petty. We keep on hearing its all about “Why ILR” so I think we should not rule out that possibility. As again, your record seemed flawless to me. But MDG is correct, the process is ambiguous, especially for an Ivy league school such as Cornell.</p>
