Who's done w/ FAFSA?

I’m the 4,323rd person to complete it! Yay!

I submitted mine as well but where do you find what number you are?

I did mine last night. How do u know what number you are?

I did mine this morning, well sort of. I had to use last years data and will go in and revise when we finally file.

On the submission confirmation page (pg 8), I’m assuming the data release number (DRN) is what you use to find your place in completing the FAFSA. I submitted mine 3 hours after the application was first available.

The FASFA requires data from the 2008 tax returns, they will not be available for a month ?

What information are people who are done already using ?

You can use your 2007 data (stating “will file”) or data from your last pay stubs of 2008, and go back and revise later what you need to.

we did it considering last year tax returns( estimate), because we did not file our 2008 taxes yet!

My parents used their last paycheck of 2008 for their total income because it was different from 2007. And everything else we basically used the 2007 tax information, but yeah we can always come back and correct it.

I just completed mine!

Submitted mine about an hour ago! The DRN number is 0262, so I don’t know if you can tell what number you are in line by this number.

i did mine shortly after 1 AM EST this morning.

hello, 0 EFC!!!

When is the fafsa due? I didn’t think it was due until Feb.? last year we had a company do it for us, but it was very expensive so we were going to do it ourselves.

Are we too late now??

guitars - No, you are not too late. TOday is the first day the FASFA is available.

I didn’t do mine yet. I’m waiting until after I pay the Spring tuition bill so our assets will be lower (a lot lower)

OK, I stayed up and filed out the FAFSA (year 3 of that being the New Year’s Eve party event) – and I will have to amend all the numbers once taxes are done – is it worth it to do a “approximate” version and then do the final version in February – or am I making myself nuts for no reason? (as long as I do get it correct by February)

says my EFC is 27,000 very unfortunate

You won’t have to write a check for $27K though – wait until the college financial aid letter comes – that’s when you know the real deal. We ended up paying quite a bit less than the EFC. Thank God.

jjcddg,

Thank you so much!!! I was so worried.

jjcddg,

Thank you so much! I was sooo worried.

Do you know if my EFC can go down quite a bit by filling out each school’s supplement. My mom is unemployed, and my brother and sister who are in high school and grade school have a combined tuition of over 15,000.
