I think as of right now, I have about three Cs, one B and an A :(. If that. Two of them are literally half a point from a B. One I’m not sure how high I can get up (didn’t expect to be in the class; couldn’t do summer assignment). I TA for a period so doesn’t count.

I know that’s like community college-range for CC, but anyone else struggling to make it up top? I know, with all the easy points given around the last five weeks of the semester, I can easily bring my grades up to at least 2-3 As, a B, and a C probably.

But would having a college class afterschool look good or bad on my apps? I have Counseling 11 afterschool this semester and maybe PoliSci next semester.

Keep pushing… EVERYONE struggles with grades at some point. Just keep pushing and doing your best, you are still a great student compared to most.

For me, I’ve always been good at standardized tests. They’re all critical thinking and narrowing down the possibilities. Plus multiple choice! But in classes I liked before, it’s really hard to like them when it’s like “Do this this way. Any other way is wrong.”

Are you kidding me? That’s what standardized tests are!!! Classes are the place where things are arguable and where you actually learn and have teachers who are reasonable. Standardized tests, while they are about narrowing down the possibilities, are just endurance tests to see how long you can stand staring a pointless problem that has no effect on your life.

i went from straight As to 3 Bs, 2 As, and a C+. i know i can get those Bs to an A (no kidding theyre in the 88-89% range lol). In english, its the freakin essays and exams…
and i need straight As to boost my chances for college. so thats why im taking cc classes this spring…

I WISH I was in AP eng lang. I would have aced that class. Now I have to take it online because I missed the signups by THREE DAYS ARRRRRRRRRGH.

I’m doing well in most subjects, especially in history (surprisingly!), but am totally screwing up in Maths. Unsure whether i should drop to the less advanced class and have my grade raised.

My grades aren’t where I want them to be. It’s sophomore year. If I focus on something I’m usually pretty decent at it, but I have a very…ah…rebellious imagination. Just look at my school papers. Doodles all over them…

Chemistry I: B+ ; 89, no biggie
AP World History: C+ ; 76 or so, must go up
Journalism: A
Spanish I: A
Honors English 10: B ; about an 84, which is ridiculous but my teacher is ridiculous
Honors Algebra II/Trig: B- ; 80 on the nose

I can pull English and Chem up to A’s, I’m positive. AP World, I’ll most likely get a B in that course, which is fine with me. I’m pushing for an A in Algebra II, but it’s a reach. Tests are worth 80%, and when I take tests I lose all my senses. :)

This quarter I have A’s in everything except AP US History, which I’m failing because our only grade has been a test which I didn’t know I had. Oops.

Thankfully my professor likes me and will probably let me retake it for reduced credit.
