I love Ellen but the selfies are getting a little old

I dont know about Ellen. I really like her usually but tonight just so- so. I prefer Billy Crystal.

Someone should have photo bombed that selfie!

I thought the selfie thing was cute…until Ellen introduced “Kristen B. Elle…what?!”

Ouch. It was Kristen Bell. Bad…just…so bad…painful…

You know, I think they could dispense with the themes every year if they want to present a more steamlined show. Or maybe the theme could be “giving out awards.” At least the special awards ARE awards and not lame jokes.

^^agree. Just hand out the awards.

I think that Ellen tweet request just crashed Twitter. I tried to check both my daughter’s twitter accounts. I get messages that say:

Something is technically wrong.
Thanks for noticing—we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.

So glad Lupita Nyong’o won, and what a wonderful speech.

^^^^Truly.

230,000 retweets as of 9:21PM

I don’t get the pizza idea? Why?

The pizza thing…really?

Fire the writers…or…whoever…

Sorry, Ellen. :(

A silly waste of time, I agree.

I think because everyone is probably hungry from what I’ve heard.

I don’t have high expectations for tv, especially award shows, so Im enjoying it.
I would be happy with the tech awards given seperately.
I also think that awards are the theme, we don’t need an extra character.
And I like Ellen, I don’t think comics like Jimmy Kimmel are funny.

Wow, Gravity is cleaning up on the more technical awards. Just watched it last night, and they seem well deserved.

Did the orchestra goof just now, starting the “Wizard of Oz” music too early?

Should I see Gravity?

^^^I thought it was really good. It got too intense at times for me, but what it took to get it to the screen is what is getting all the awards. If you watch the special features and see what it actually involved, you are awed by the achievement.

D just tweeted, “She’s doing a good job, but why isn’t Liza doing it?”

I thought Pink was awesome. It was a relief to see someone do their thing without messing it up…
