Who's watching the Tony Awards?

Awesome talent!

Lol at all the law and order alums. We go to a lot of off Broadway shows and usually half the cast has been in law and order!

Yea, more carpool karaoke!

Did one of the award winners seem a little drunk?

Love carpool karaoke!!!

Oh how I would LOVE to be in that car!

I like how, in their acceptance speeches, they manage to mention Orlando tragedy, “all-legal” casts, etc

After watching the Hamilton performance, I am SO beyond eager for next Saturday to come, yet already dreading that this time next week, I will have already seen it and don’t have it to look forward to any longer.

I figure that was the closest I’ll get to seeing “Hamilton,” but it was wonderful. I’m saving the recording for as long as possible.

I hope someone from the Motion Picture Academy is watching tonight and taking notes. I’ve watched the Oscars for decades but they’ve never done a show nearly this good.

The Tonys are ALWAYS better than the Oscars. I think they’re the best awards show, bar none.

Eventually it will make its way to regional theaters and even some colleges that will put on remarkable productions.

OK - checking back in & not reading any of the comments above until later!

I enjoyed the 60 minutes piece on Hamilton - I love how Lin-Manuel Miranda is so gracious.

West Coasters - it’s our turn now!

It’s been fabulous…enjoy!

Wow - the opening number was fabulous!!!

What fortuitous timing… I just got an email that a new block of Hamilton tickets is on sale right now.

West Coaster here. I am enjoying happy look at my DD face as she listens to favorite music without paying $800 per ticket!

I fell asleep :frowning:

James Corden is awesome so far - he may surpass NPH as my favorite Tony host

Yea, D actually just tried to get some of the new block of tickets and said they were $850; that’s more than double what we’re paying for this weekend for premium seats. She asked me, “How about for your next birthday?” (which is not until next April!) and I said a firm, “No.” I can only justify spending that once in that lifetime and I’m hoping when I try to get tickets for the Chicago performance (which will have to happen during the December holidays), they don’t run anywhere near that much.
