go to google and type in

“What’s the poitn of life” lol

My Junior year was as follows:

French 5-6

Self studied(starting in January):
Euro
World
Human Geo
Physics C Mech and EM

SAT
SAT Subject Tests: Bio and Physics

I was also very active on the Math Team and I went to about every math contest.

Next year, my schedule will be:
Linear Algebra/Maybe some math class 2nd semester, like Abstract Algebra
AP Statistics
APES
AP English Lit
AP Macro/US Gov Honors
AP French

Self-study:
Micro(sort of)
US Gov(sort of)
Comp Gov
Phych
Comp Sci(I currently have no programming experience, but I will join the Computer Science Club next year)

ECs:
Officer of Math Club/Still do lots of math contests
Comp Sci Club
Leader of a new Club that aims to improve education at our school
Maybe Robotics
College Apps

my junior year last year:

AP Lang
AP USH
AP Enviro
Precalc Honors
AP Human Geo
Orchestra

self study
SAT II math 2

4 on Lang, 4 on USH, 5 on Enviro, and 5 on Human Geo

@bluedevil no clue how you are taking so many of those hard classes
i took AP chem alone in soph year and it was hell, USH last year was hell

human geo and enviro were just busy work but no joke you hvae a hard schedule

@garfieldkiller, your crazy bro. thats some hard ****.
what do you reccomend getting for self-studying ap phys c (both mechanics/ e&m) besides serway/jarret.

@theeboy3 how hard is human/enviro honestly(like read over the ap prep books over the summer and you’ll get a 5?) and for apus if i get AMSCO/REA should i be good?

Well I’m a senior now (about to graduate), but my junior year schedule was:

AP Chemistry (5)
AP Statistics (5)
AP English Language and Composition (5)
AP US History (5)
AP Psychology (self-study, 5)
AP Human Geography (self-study, 5)
Pre-Calculus Honors
AP Spanish Language IV (first year of a two-year AP course)

SAT I: 800 Math, 740 Crit. Reading, 800 Writing
SAT II: 800 US History, 800 Math II, 780 Chemistry
ACT: 35

@sd6 congrats on harvard kid. But I was just wondering do you feel the sat outweighs ap exams? And how did you get so good at the sat? Also does the ap us exam prepare you for the subject test? Is the subjct test harder than the exam?

Any tips for self studying human+psych?
Congrats again on haaavaahhd

I just used Princeton Review, since I already had a good background in Calculus and Physics(I took BC in 10th Grade). If you’re not that confident in your Physics, a textbook may be very helpful.

Human Geo is not difficult, but you have to learn the vocabulary and stuff. A prep book should be sufficient(PR is th best).

For US History, I actually recommend Direct Hit’s US History in a Flash; it’s WAY better than AMSCO.

well i think human geo and enviro could’ve been done reading a prep book but I enjoyed the class anyways

I honestly probably could of read through the prep book once or twice and gotten a 5 anyways

I just finished my Junior year. It wasn’t so bad. My Senior year though, also, not bad compared to some of y’all.

Classes:
-AP English Language
-AP Spanish Language
-AP US Government
-AP Calculus BC (zero hour at a different high school)
-AP Environmental Science
-Honors Chemistry
-Honors Physics 2
(so I’m taking a 7/6 schedule)
I have to do a Senior Exit Project throughout the year.
I’m taking an internship at a local hospital for at minimum 62 hours a semester

Extra Curriculars:
-Treasurer of NHS
-Science club officer
-Math club president
-Link Crew member
-Track and Field
-Cheerleading
-Class of 2012 planner (we plan graduation, homecoming, powderpuff football)
I also volunteer with various organizations around town.

Somehow I’m going to work on my college applications (I’m applying ERA to Stanford) so this should be effing fun. Hah.

@Compscigeek

Thank you, and I agree with you. However does this look good if I took like 6 online ap courses. I got all A’s in them. Will the grade matter? Affect my gpa?
I also will take the AP test, but it will be next may, after applying to colleges. So, will it help me.

My junior year classes:

AP Physics C

AP Comp Sci
AP Calc BC (during the summer, hence LinAlg during the school year)

ECs: random math stuff + piano is pretty much it. I mostly just browse CC or reddit or Metafilter in my spare time, while occasionally doing some math thing.

Kind of pwned SATs in sophomore year, so didn’t have to worry about them this year.

In comparison, next year (senior year) will be pretty chill:

AP Eng Lit
Multivariable/LinAlg (repeat for college credit)
Finite/Discrete Math (college credit)
AP Physics C (we need to go deeper!)
AP Japanese
Govt/Econ (required class)

Self-study: maybe both AP Econs
