<p>I think you guys are greatly missing the point of Yahoo Answers. It should not be used to do tough homework or cited for your PhD thesis, but if you need a random sports fact or a couple bands recommended, then hell, it’s awesome.</p>

<p>Because people are answering because they want points.
In my opinion, there should be no points awarded for answers, only for best answers.
That way people wouldn’t answer questions in topics they know nothing about.</p>
<p>Of course then there would probably be a lot less users</p>
<p>YahooAnswers does have some useful uses but its mostly idiots posting questions and answers.</p>
