If you don’t know what USC is in California, you are obviously an idiot. I am not an expert in any field but business/finance and in that space NYU’s stern, even CAS beats UCLA’s bizecon.

lostincode, watch your mouth. Don’t start insulting or pointing fingers at people you don’t even know. School pride has nothing to do with school failure.

POINTS FINGER AT YAMS

UCLA is a terrible school, terrible I say.

Someone even picked Irivine over ucla…how does that make ucla look? nobody turns down Berkeley for Irvine.

Points 2 fingers at yams

Go back to your inferior school. NOW!

I am not an expert in any field but business/finance and in that space NYU’s stern, even CAS beats UCLA’s bizecon.

You are basing it solely on recruiting rate happening in the EAST COAST. UCLA is a westcoast school. No wonder you are so biased.

P.S. btw, UCLA’s BizEcon does not focus on any of Business or Finance (it’s part of econ department) so it’s rather foolish to compare NYU stern with UCLA’s Bizecon program.

Also, saying UCLA sux just by comparing one program is as ignorant as one can get. So what if I compare UCLA’s Television & Film program compared to NYU’s program or UCLA’s engineering with NYU’s whatever that’s equivilent or similar to engineering (since i know NYU doesn’t have engineering)? or English or history, foreign language, or psychology, polisci or computer science or name any other major besides Business/Finance, and you will see that in most disciplines UCLA’s either a few steps or well ahead of NYU’s.

But that’s not the point. You try to compare two programs that are totally different to each other, and also, you compare one school’s strongest program (and probably the only) with the other school’s “good-but-not-the-strongest” area of discipline. I say that’s a rather cheap attempt in bringing a school’s reputation down.

Yes you are an Ivy Leaguer but that doesn’t qualify you to talk about things you don’t understand. Don’t join in with the ■■■■■■ here in trying to make UCLA the worst school in the nation because no matter how hard you try, most people in the nation will disagree with you and will only laugh at you for being an ignorant moron.

Thats not true. I agree with NYU being held more prestigious than ucla. I think u have been hanging out with the wrong crowd, dhl.

btw, nyu’s film program is JUST AS good as ucla’s film. With that in mind, UCLA’s film is NOT as good as USC, so ucla still sux.

The list does not reflect the results of a survey or poll, and is instead simply a subjective ranking based on the opinions and experiences of your About.com Guide.

LMAO. Oh wait, let me pull some PRESTIGE rankings out of my ass!

Here ya go:

Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
MIT

These schools are always prestigious and most idiots on the street will even be aware of them (though I’ve gotten a few blank stares at the mention of MIT!) Other than that, it’s either opinion or differs depending on what part of the country / field you’re going into.

You guys can go to hell. What did I ever do wrong.

dhl3-

You obviously have a hard-on for UCLA, and that is okay. Different strokes for different folks.

People do comparisions like I did all the time. For instance people compare Wharton to Harvards Econ, even though they are nothing alike. Econ at Harvard is more of the soft skills, while Wharton teaches true finance. Notwithstanding econ is not it’s best department.

To be honest dhl3, in business it doesnt really matter what you majored in, whether it be econ, finance, or just business administration. What really matters is the schools cumulative prestige–And that is the point I’m trying to make.

In business, especially finance the East Coast is generally more prestigious than the West Coast. An internship at Goldman Sachs NYC is going to look much better than a GS intership in San Francisco. So in that respect a school with top tier east coast recruiting will look better.

NYC recruiters make 2 stops in California. Stanford and Berkeley. They only go to UCLA if they have to take a massive **** because the pastries at Berkeley were old.

Hey brand, where are you transferring to? Long time no talk fellow Texan!

Hey! I’m transferring to Wesleyan. Sadly, it did not make the About.com guide’s top 50 prestige ranking. I’m going to go hang myself now.

it did make it! lol

hey whaddya know. that ranking still sucks.

It’s okay brand! Wesleyan is still a good school. This prestige thing is really getting annoying. Is it really the only thing everyone cares about?

Just enjoy your time there and make the best out your experience there.

Are you there right now?

no 20 more days! :)

quit changing the conversation!!

ucla sux lol…

I am probably going to Texas this month too for a weekend. Haha. Good ol “The Woodlands”. I am probably going to pass by Montgomery College!

oh wut! stalker!!!

lol sorry you had to come back!

I’m going there for a family gathering.
