Why is ACT range inconsistent

So my current top choice is UMiami. I just finished a 2 day visit there, and to keep it simple, I fell in love. So while looking online, I have found numerous ranges for the ACT scores. I saw as low as 27-31 and as high as 31-34. I have a 32, so I was wondering which is the most accurate. The same goes for acceptance rate. I have seen as high as 37% and as low as 27%. Thanks,
A

Could be a difference in what year is being reported or for a specific major.

The best place to look is always directly with the university: https://admissions.miami.edu/undergraduate/application-process/class-profile/freshman/index.html

I can’t speak to Miami per se, but I have sometimes run into the phenomenon of seeing the ACT scores of accepted students in one place, and the ACT scores of the entering class (i.e., those who accepted the offer of admission) in another place.

Princeton Review’s The Best 385 Colleges 2020 says the Freshman Profile ACT range for Miami is 29-32. So I’m thinking your 32 is a very competitive score for this school.

Best of luck!
