<p>I think a double sanction would best fit UVA, it still upholds part of it’s honor, and well it’s less stressful for a student.

<p>Because the alumni thinks it’s not “traditional” so every time a reform movement comes up the tradition-defenders flood the defend-the-status-quo side with enough campaign money and T-shirts and coffee mugs and a flood of general advertising such that the reform side has no chance.</p>
<p>I’m not sure coffee mugs and t-shirts sway people. </p>
<p>What percentage of students voted the last time this came up?</p>

Those seem pretty good. I’ve seen schools where the only people voting in student elections were those with offices in the student union (the student leader vote).</p>
