<p>What’s it been now? 50 years or so since they really had a team? I love JoePa, but long as he’s around, and no matter what his defenders proclaim, there’s not sufficient room for multiple egos essential to moving this along. That’s why there’s only been one Florida-like dual champ. It’s big, just not big enuff. An interesting phenomenon.</p>
<p>I’d really like to see Ed DeChellis do it though. He’s an excellent coach for PSU.</p>
<p>WP - I watched the last half of the game on TV last night. They looked pretty good (7 awesome “3s” by Walker - didn’t even hit the rim!). I like DeChellis too and I think he’s a year or two away from having a good (not great) team. I hear there’s a good recruiting class coming in…

<p>7) State College–awesome college town; just about everything a college student could want, i.e. vibrant night life, restaurants, movie theatres, bars and clothing stores within walking distance of most of the campus; Nittany Mall and big box stores a short bus ride away</p>

<p>Coming from two schools with basketball traditions (U of IL and UCLA), I could not believe it when I arrived in State College and saw where PSU was playing at the time-- Rec Hall. I think there’s hope for the Lions, especially with the BJC and the unbelievable student support. I went to the PSU-Illinois game a few weeks ago and was impressed by the turnout for a team with such a pathetic record.</p>
<p>hey - they came close to beating Ohio State this year! They need work but there’s potential! I agree, BJC is nice…</p>
