Why Pick ASU?

I have to decide between ASU and U of Washington by May 1! I was wondering if anyone could give me any important info (either positive or negative) about ASU that will help my decision. If I go to ASU I will be in-state, but money is not the biggest consideration. (I will be in Barrett, so will that be a good education, or is Barrett more of just a name?)

Well, there are a lot of things to consider when trying to pick between 2 schools. First, what are you planning to study? UW is a good school in many respects, but ASU is just as good in many areas. Since you said that you are in-state, that is another big thing to consider. You could still live on campus and get the complete college experience without going out of state. This being my second year at ASU, I really do believe that someone should go where they believe they will be happiest… not necessarily because it’s the best at this or the best at that, but in the end, you will want to remember your college years as being fun and good, not bad and full of days where you wished you were somewhere else.

You can be sure that Barrett is not just a name. BHC students are treated extremely well by ASU and are given many special opportunities and privileges. Plus the new BHC “village” that will open in fall 2009 is going to be fantastic.

The biggest drawback to ASU is its size, but being in BHC negates much of that because your honors classes will be small and you will get to really know your professors and advisors.

Perhaps you should consider what is attracting you to UW. Is it a particular program or major? Is it just the chance to be away from home and/or experience a different climate?

How good is ASU for Comp. Science or Engineering? I have applied there as a Transfer Freshman.
I’m an International student so is it worth it?

Bump cause I want to know too.

Hi… i’ve got admissions in ASU and Missouri state university. ASU has higher rankings than MSU but it is much more expensive than MSU (Around 8000$ per year) So i wanna know if paying that much extra is worth it or not .
