I’m writing an essay on why the SAT should not be used as a basis for evaluating a candidate applying to a college/university
The ideas i have thus far include:

College board and their scoring errors this past fall with the October Test
Disadvantage poorer students have who cannot afford test prep and tutors
Students who are poor test takers
4-hour test versus 4 years in high school
Doesnt test what you actually know and learn in high school

Any other ideas

It is not difficult enough to justify its usage…it needs to incorporate a few APs in the process if it wants to claim the label of being a good predictor of college success.

b/c they’re nothing

it doesn’t test either science reasoning skills or science knowlege acquired. ACT at least tries to do this.

The tutor test prep thing is a good point. I know I didn’t do any prep for my SAT I test, and it doesn’t seem fair that other students get the same score by hiring professionals to teach them the test.
