I went to a trip to Washington D. C. and when I came back I was supposed to do some make up work for Spanish 3. When it was time for me to turn it in, my teacher left for 3 weeks, and u never got the chance to turn it in. So my grade went from a B- to a D+. Do I have to retake the class? Will colleges care about it? (I got a B+ first semester, and I’m a sophomore)

You don’t have to retake the class because you got credit. Colleges probably won’t award credit if that is what you’re asking.

Colleges absolutely despise Ds of any kind so yes they will care. The D+ isn’t doing your GPA any favors either. The B+ is some damage control, but it won’t mask the big picture.
