Will Earth Science satisfy the physical science requirement for Cal State schools?

It’s my second semester of senior year and I’ve been taking chem. However due to some health issues I missed about two weeks recently. All the absences have been cleared by my doctor, but my chemistry teacher is refusing to allow me to make up what I missed as he believes that there isn’t enough time left in the semester (three weeks). The only assignment left is the final which just counts as a test, so it won’t make up for the labs and tests I missed. I and my parents have talked to both the vice principal and my counselor and all they offered was that I could take Earth Science online in place of Chemistry. I’ve already been accepted to multiple Cal State colleges and would like to attend Long Beach State or Los Angeles State in the fall. Will I still be able to do so if I take Earth Science or does it have to be chemistry? Thank you for any help.

Also if earth science does not meet the requirement would an online chemistry class?

Are you using this course to meet one of the minimum two lab sciences for the CSUs? On-line courses are not allowed to meet the lab science requirement.

Correct me if I am wrong, but all you need to do is to receive credit for Chemistry to get your PS requirement. But, won’t you still pass regardless of if you missed ~2 weeks of classes. So long as you got above a ~75 on everything and the final, you should be fine.
