I really start to think that i won’t be admitted in good schools that can give me enough FA to meet my need. So i’m thinking of taking a gap year and then re-apply next year. However, i tought of making this year less boring by taking what we call “classes préparatoires”, it’s 2 years when you study a lot of maths/physics/engineering science/french and english but at the end, you get no certificate/bachelor or something of this sort.
If i apply next year, will it count as a transfer ? Or will i have to quit this school as soon as i get in a good university ?

No, you will not be considered a transfer student. A transfer student is someone who is (or has been) enrolled in a college/university and is now trying to change to another college/university.

These courses are considered post-secondary education and carry ECTS credits (standardized European college credits). So yes, enrolling in such a course can make you a transfer applicant. Whether it will make you a transfer applicant depends on the university you’re applying to. Every university sets its own policy on who’s considered a transfer student and who is not.
