Will I get into Baylor university?

I’m part of the early action applicants yet I still have not heard back from Baylor. My grades (3.3 gpa) and scores (1420 SAT) are not that great. it’s embarrassing. However, my resume is filled with awards I received from mainly marching band. I am part of a band that is 2nd in the nation, with that being a section leader for the saxophones. I have also been invited to an international music convention with other band members as well. I also consider my volunteer work to be high up as well. I am part of a club called “Habitat for Humanity”, and have helped built homes for the less fortunate. I have also helped tutor pre-k to elementary school kids, and middle school saxophone players.

Baylor is my dream school. I check my
email everyday hoping I will get a reply from them. I have a close relative who attends there, and she has told me the best things about this school. Even though my academics aren’t great, I still hope and pray that my resume will pull through.

My son was early admission. We have not heard back yet. No worries! If we don’t hear back by midterms, we will send those colleges updates letters.

I applied EA and submitted the optional supplements and a resume in Oct. I contacted and kept in touch with my regional advisor and made sure that my application was completed before the Nov 1 deadline. I haven’t heard anything about a decision. I’ve been very diligent in the process and was really hoping that my efforts would have paid off by now. I live out of state and three other students from my HS have also applied to Baylor. They filled out the app, sent in their scores, etc. They didn’t bother with the resume or supplements. They heard back and were all 3 accepted within three weeks of submitting their apps! They told me to just be optimistic and patient!
