I just got accepted into ASU and was given a $13000/yr scholarship. Now I am worried that both my admission and scholarship will be revoked due to low grades. From 9-11th grade, my gpa was 3.7, however, this year it looks more likely that I will receive a gpa close to 3.0 during my first semester of senior year. So, what are your opinions?
As long as you keep it at 3.0 and the university didn’t put a “condition” for senior year on your admission , I wouldn’t worry.
3.7 to 3.0 is a significant slide. You’re fired!
Your admission is not in danger of being revoked. The scholarship may be another matter as it may be dependent on your final transcript. ASU has an online scholarship estimator that you could use to determine whether your GPA has even fallen enough to be a potential issue but I think you would have to call to confirm one way or the other.
Do you mean the 3.0 GPA is the semester GPA? If that is the case and you’ve had roughly the same number of credits every semester of high school, your new cumulative GPA would only have fallen to about 3.6.
