Will Non-Merit Giving Selective LACs Need to Change to Attract High-Income Students?

I wonder how it would look if there was no need aid. None.

So no one is discounted based on wealth.

When I go to a restaurant or to a clothing store, they don’t factor wealth in their price.

What price would schools come down to then ?

In some but few overall industries does wealth determine a price.

These colleges don’t need to meet need. They choose to.

But what if they didn’t.

Their classes would likely look very different.

My point is - the schools choose to do as they do. So no one is screwed.

Yes some are helped. But no one is screwed. That they’re offering any ‘discount’ at all is a nicety.
