Hi! I am a sophomore with mostly decent grades. However, I am NOT doing good in Algebra and my final grade will be in the high seventies/low eighties. Everything else is pretty good. I usually do very well in school, but Algebra 2 is genuinely the worst I’ve ever taken, and despite all the help I get, I see no improvements and it’s taken a big toll on me mentally. My dream school is UW as an economics major. I have good EC’s and currently stand in the top 20% of my class with a 4.05 GPA. Will this low grade in Algebra affect me negatively in the admissions process?
Which UW, and are you an instate resident for that UW?

Math is important for most econ programs, so the question should not be focused on one bad grade, but on your math aptitude/ability.
