Will schools notice a change in effort?

I’m going to be a junior this year which means I’ll really have to work.

The last two years I’ve done nothing. As in I’ve just done enough to pass most of my classes.

So if I do really well in gr. 11 and 12 will Universities notice that?

Umm. Thank god I don’t live in the US. I’m talking about Ontario.

I also hear that schools in Canada don’t look very closely at gr. 9 and 10 but mainly focus on your gr. 11 and 12 marks.

I’m in the same situation. If you do well, they’ll definately notice. An upward trend in grades will only help your application. If I get all A’s both semesters my Junior year, I’ll have a 3.85 gpa  I have to work my butt off.
