Will the above backfire/not help me at all if I do it during the summer?

So there’s this “opportunity” at course-notes.org (yes, you may laugh now)

That asks for people to write book reviews for various AP subject study guides, and helping w/ homework help.

What will colleges see when I do this kind of a job? Will they:

– See the I’m helping out a site like sparknotes that promotes shallow understanding/memorization of texts and information?

– Or observe only that I’m adding breadth but not depth because I have NOTHING related to journalism/book reviews on my ECs?

– Or see that at least the student cares about the APs they study for? (Passionate about APs and about learning? LOL fat chance)

– See that any online volunteering is useless and doesn’t get the student out of their home, therefore its useless.

I will probably do this regardless of what they think, but what I want to know is, DO i WANT TO PUT THIS as something I did during the summer when: I have no “writing” and “journalism”-related ECs (I was hoping they’d see it more as AP passion O= cough)

bump 10 char

buuuuuuuuuuuuuump!

If you want to use this opportunity to show that you’re passionate about learning, APs, etc, then you could mention it in your essay describing yourself. It might actually make you unique, but I don’t know if you want to actually write this as an official “something you did during the summer.”

yea,… bleh
