<p>So I asked Natasha out and she called me. We ended up having a 40 min conversation on the phone about how her parents don’t like our age difference (it’s not even a 2 yr difference) but that she does like me. I told her we could wait till summer to start dating but she insisted we start during winter break.</p>
<p>We had a bunch of sappy moments which assured me that she did like me.</p>
<p>Anyways, the real problem is Sarah’s friend Rachel. In the beginning she and I were on good terms. I helped her get a job and helped her get the necessary qualifcations.</p>
<p>After she got the job however, she started getting hostile towards me. After Sarah and I talked, she told me to back off. I panicked a bit and messaged Natasha three texts regarding this and called her a couple times over the next few days. (I had just started uni, so the stress was immense to say the least)</p>
<p>Eventually Natasha texted back, saying she was busy with school work and turned her phone off (it was a lie since I called her and her phone was ringing but whatever)and she was really sorry if she confused me but we’re talking as usual now. She sends paragraphs and asks how my day is and continues the conversation.</p>
<p>NOW there are a couple things that made me think that she does like me but the main thing is that I texted her back “omg you just gave me a heart attack” and i told her if she was going off grid for a long period of time to just tell me. and she texted back how her courses are pretty packed so she might not be able to…but then texted back “but I don’t want to give you a heart attack so I’ll let you know!”</p>
<p>At this point, Rachel messages me and says I’m creeping Natasha out. The most shocking thing was she knew I had called Natasha a couple times and that I “killed my minutes” (it was a joke only natasha would understand because last time we talked, I used up all her mintues) She had a heated conversation about this but I kept my cool, knowing that she might show this to Natasha.
Eventually, I told her to respectfully back off and that I understood that she was trying to protect her best friend but then Rachel gets really weird and says that “we can’t be friends anymore” (which I could care less tbh) and she goes to actually unfriend me!</p>
<p>I have a feeling she was lying and jsut trying to have me back off from Natasha for her own reasons because as the conversation progressed, it strayed from Natasha and she kept bringing up how SHE was creeped out and how SHE didn’t want to talk to me. I told her that and said “isn’t this about Natasha?” and she would just include natasha’s name to whatever insult she’d throw at me…it was rather amusing.</p>
<p>BOTTOM LINE</p>
<p>Rachel is saying that Natasha wants me to back off and is too nice to say it…whereas Natasha is actually just busy but our conversations show not even the slightest indication that she doesn’t want to talk to me…</p>
<p>Rachel doesn’t like me I don’t think. She has asked me about advice on two guys she likes so we can rule that out…but Idk, what do you make of this and what should I do?</p>
