@RamonaFalls Im starting to get nervous about my STATS class. I might get a C in the end, even if I have a 92% right now we need to take 2 more tests and a final and I’m starting not to understand the material as clearly. Im nervous again

Hmm, I suggest that you deal with this before it becomes a serious problem: study at your school’s math tutoring center, devote as much time as you can to studying the subject, come to professor’s office hours, etc.

Even if you get a C, it won’t mean you’ll be rescinded. As long as you’re doing fine in your other classes, you should be OK. Do you have any other classes that you might get a C in?

@Cayton I’ve been going to school 5 hours early each day to do homework it has been helping. Whatever it takes lol, and I only have one other class and Im looking at an A in it so I do have extra time to really focus on math. I just need to actually do it

Ah. I’m very confident you’ll do well in your stats class. Even if you get a C, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll get rescinded as long as you do well in your other class.

Update: I haven’t officially heard back from admissions regarding the academic updates that I made (3.5 weeks ago…) but I just checked the decision site and my Congratulations letter came back! This is a good sign… right?

Also, my transfer admissions contract didn’t change either… (I didn’t receive a revised one) Is it suppose to?

@babybergur congrats! I’m pretty sure that means whatever you reported did/does not affect your admission. And I think you might receive a different contract based on what you reported…so I think it’s different for each person

I was admitted as an anthropology major to UCLA. I am currently taking 15 units, Biology 6, Calculus 2, and Physics 37(calculus based physics). Unfortunatley I decided to drop Physics 37 and I reported it to UCLA about 2 days ago. Here is the thing. For my major 1 year of calculus based physics is a requirement, but my physics 37 transfers to UCLA physics 1A, and my major requires physics 6A. So by me dropping physics 37 do you think they will rescind my admission.

It has already been 10 business days and I have not heard a response back. Also, in these 10 business days my Congratulations letter did not go away it just stayed the same.

@collegeman18 - If your Congrats hasn’t gone away yet, that means that they have not begun to review your changes. That’s how it was explained to me from the Admission Office

Just got their reply concerning my academic change and Im good. It is astonishing though it only take them less than 3 business days…
Maybe because my change has nothing to do with my CC courses and is about the former foreign college ^ ^

@2016candles Thanks for the info. Man I hope they dont rescind me I mean its already been 10 business days and they still have not even processed it. I mean first when I go on assist my major which is anthropology does not have specific requirements, it just says " try to complete as many of the pre requisites as you can" second the physics course I took transfer to UCLA physics 1A when for my major I need physics 6 A. I dont know I guess I will have to w8 and see.

@Cayton I am kind of in the same boat as you right now. I’m a stats major and I have 4 classes/14 units. For sure 7 units are going to be A. Problem is these two classes are not my major prereq classes and the two that I did poorly in are… So today I found out I got a C in one of them and now I’m waiting for my grade from the other class. I still did not SIR yet because I’m scared about the situation. I know Cal just needs me to maintain a 3.0 which I’ll have even with 2 c’s, but I really liked LA when I went to see it…

Hi guys. I reported my provisional contract and am so worried now. One of the provisions says “You must maintain the GPA” but after the last semester my cumulative GPA dropped by 0.3… Still above a 3.2 but I’m so worried. Will I be okay?
