Will you buy the iPhone 4s?

I would let her get the 16g. If she is really wanting her music on it, it makes sense. She will also be using up space with apps and maybe tv shows, too.

Has anyone purchased a warranty insurance plan through SquareTrade?

I have the 32Gb iphone4 as does my D. More room is always better than not enough & you don’t want to fill it anyway- doesn’t that make it more prone to problems?
Apps take up space, photos take up space, files take up space, not just music.

I was in the Apple store today and spoke to an employee about activating at home. I already have ATT and he said to simply backup my current phone, then when I plug in my new phone, it will be recognized as a new device and I should select restore from most recent backup (not to set up as new). That way all of my settings (e.g., for my email) and my data (contacts, etc.) should be preserved. The “get started” instructions will be in with the new phone and are also on the Apple website.

Sounds easy…

I tried to schedule a “genius bar” appointment for next weekend just in case I need help, but the system isn’t allowing any iphone-related appointments to be made after Thursday. Just have to go into the store and wait.
