This will be the first marine science major in Virginia and will be a great option for any student interested.

They just announced a full-tuition scholarship for students pursuing the new major — $50M historic gift fuels scholarships in coastal and marine sciences at William & Mary’s Batten School & VIMS – W&M News
I’m not quite sure how it works in terms of students not declaring until sophomore year … is the major only for Junior/Seniors? Not sure! Regardless, what a generous gift, and what an exciting development for the new program.
