Thank you but I will defer to those with first hand experience and others who have strong opinions on such matters. I prefer not to defend my lived experience versus LinkedIn searches on an ongoing basisđ
Sigh.
Can an American with UK âbankingâ/ finance experience leverage that for the US market? Would it have to be London/City?
In this situation, the studentâs wish to live abroad trumps âIB targetâ (summarizing thread â student would have other first choices and questions if this were her primary driver).
The main choices under consideration are WM/StA joint degree program and McGill.
I really appreciate everyone who takes time to share their experiences and opinions on this topic. We donât know what we donât know, that is why I want to hear thoughts from others. Yet I do understand that we all have our own opinions based on various experiences and perspectives. All inputs are very valuable for us to make the decision.
Thank you to bring us back to the original question I have: StA/WM or McGill?
Thanks for tagging me but I will defer to others who rely on LinkedIn to opine in the spirit of avoiding conflict and allowing CC to be friendly and welcoming.
Thanks
(I donât use LinkedIn so I skipped that part of the discussion⊠I thought you might have direct observations on the specific banking/finance abroad aspect. I realize youâre an IB expert, not all-things-banks expert though so I apologize if my question was inappropriateđ)
Not inappropriateđ. I am however no longer an âIB Expertâ.
St Andrews has their destination report here. You can filter on degree type (UG/PG) and department, and subject. Also by country.

Pretty nifty - only concern is the data is old (last 2019/20).
Neat report though.
