William & Mary 2024 RD

Is it supposed to come out tonight?

Apparently financial awards come out tomorrow, but I’ve read a post about someone receiving it tonight so I got confused…

I don’t know where you saw that financial aid awards come out tomorrow. On their website it says that all Regular Decision notifications come out by April 1 and to the question “When will I receive my financial aid package?” it says:
If all necessary materials are turned in on time, admitted students will receive information regarding financial aid about two weeks after the admission decision is received. This information will come via email.

On CSS Profile some schools display when the FA award comes out…w&m lists 3/15/2020, that is why we are speculating for tomorrow.

What time do W & M decisions usually come out?

Does W and M email decisions? Am I correct that there is no student portal?

I am pretty sure they email them and there is no student portal

does anyone know the actual date of decisions this year? has covid had an impact on when they will come out?

I got a likely letter from W&M a couple weeks ago. Out of state applicant.
1570 SAT
~4.2 GPA (my school weights GPAs weirdly, it is probably higher than this weighted on a typical scale)

Good luck to you guys! <3

I received a likely letter from W&M a while ago and was accepted a week or two after that through the James Monroe Scholars program. OOS. 1550 SAT. 4.5+ GPA. Good luck to everyone else awaiting their decision!

Looking back through older posts on the Admissions Blog, it looks like they released RD on Saturday, March 23 of last year. Hopefully they will follow “end of third week of March” and release this Saturday!

I sure hope so W&M is stressing me out lmao

Like so many schools, the College of William and Mary has now made the difficult decision to switch to all online classes for the remainder of the semester.

My sympathies to you high school seniors who are dealing with such abnormal circumstances. AP exams, college decisions, graduation – all potentially held hostage to a public health emergency.

For what it’s worth, W&M has done a great job with communication to students and parents. My daughter has been very happy at the school and with her choice to attend. Frankly, it was an Admitted Students event that sealed the deal and moved W&M to the top of her list. I am sorry you seniors will likely not get to experience that. Perhaps in the summer?

The student paper, TheFlat Hat, is continuing to update its website. Here’s a friendly article with tips for studying from home:

Anyone know when it’ll be out?

w&m is a fit i guess for me 1470 sat, valedictorian great ECs 500+ volunteer hours but I got waitlisted at Haverford so I’m nervous. I hope decisions come out today.

Based on last year’s release, it should be today around 5pm EST. However, this is just a guess. It changes from year to year.

@rowanlev decisions are so random so don’t let a waitlist from one college get ur hopes down about another. I got waitlisted at a lower tier college and accepted into a higher tier one, it happens all the time.

@rowanlev Tiny schools like Haverford don’t have a lot of spaces left after they admit athletes and others with “hooks.” Stay on the waitlist if you prefer Haverford to anywhere you are admitted, but try to prefer one of those!

W&M is much larger than the little LACs but much smaller than UVa, let alone places like U Michigan and Berkeley. It’s a good size, I think, and has plenty of room for excellent unhooked students.

Good luck!

I just got in!!

OMG … in! Good luck to all and stay safe!
