I received my acceptance email yesterday evening! It said they were notifying me of my admission early because of my selection as a Monroe Scholar. Did anyone else get this?

DD just got the notification for the Monroe Scholar as well.
@ARF2020 I applied regular but I think it was just earlier than other RD notices because of Monroe.
Yes, I think the Monroe letter came earlier for my daughter 2 years ago.
My daughter got her Monroe notification yesterday too. She applied RD. We are OOS and wondering if there is any chance for in-state tuition for the Monroes? @prodesse do you know if they would offer merit in the initial email or in the follow up letter? TIA! We are from NC and while she prefers W&M’s smaller community it is hard to stomach the OOS tuition when comparing UNC to W&M. She applied W&M hoping for the 1693 but at this late date I don’t think she advanced if she has not heard anything.

Sadly, Monroe doesn’t come with merit money or in-state tuition. Just a few thousand dollars for summer research (which is actually great, but doesn’t help the family finances much).
