son got phone call on Thursday offering spot from WL. Still waiting on FA though.

Congrats. Do you mind telling me if you are in or out of state? Being out of state I feel makes my D24s likelihood even smaller.

S24 received the following message from W&M yesterday:
At this point the spaces in the Class of 2028 appear to be filled. Nonetheless, the possibility does exist that spaces could become available and we may admit additional students later this spring and summer. Please complete this brief form online if you still see William & Mary as a top choice and would like to be considered should this opportunity arise. The form will remain open until June 7.
We will notify any newly admitted students later this summer by phone or email, and all offers of admission will be made by August 1.
As you know, this yearâs applicant pool proved to be incredibly strong. Consequently, we were unable to admit many capable and qualified students. If you remain interested in attending William & Mary, we want to highlight the two pathways available to students on our waitlist for guaranteed admission to begin at William & Mary in Spring 2025 by either completing the Fall 2024 semester at your local community college or via an abroad program through Verto Education. More information about those opportunities can be found on our list of Frequently Asked Questions. Similarly, our experience has been that students on our waitlist often emerge as highly competitive applicants in our general transfer process.
For us, that means itâs time to commit 100% to spring pathways Verto London! S24 has never wavered from this choice, and Iâm ready to plan in earnest without the thought that he might get offered a spot for fall.

Yes weâre all in on London as well! Just sat down with my DD this morning and went through all the forms on the various portals, and she is going to do the math placement test this afternoon. Registration for classes starts Tuesday⊠onward!

Does anyone know if they have a history of taking people off the waitlist over the summer?
There are always seem to be a few as some students are still holding on to more than one acceptance.
