I’ve read of a few that have already. So I guess they are slowly notifying.
They changed the commitment date from May 1 to May 15, so waitlist offers may not come until later in the month.

It was close but DD decided on UVA this week. So that’s one more Monroe housing spot open! Good luck to all!

Where did you read this? How did they notify? My daughter is still waiting (though did choose a school to commit to - the pathway just wasn’t for her). She gets an award May 16th but the highschool won’t divulge for what.
A couple of students on the WM Reddit were talking about it.
Say you get off the W&M waitlist. Does anyone know for sure how long would you have before you needed to give an answer?
They usually call and email. In the past you have been given two weeks to respond, but I don’t know if they’ve tightened that response time.

My kid got the “do you want to stay on the waitlist” email today. I assume everyone on the waitlist got this email.
Yes, they send to everyone remaining. They are wanting to send offers to those who are still truly interested.

Yes, my DD received also. 
S24 received it too, and answered that he wants to remain on the waitlist. His waitlist status does not show on his portal. The following message has been added:
If you wish to remain in consideration for admission to William & Mary, please complete the Waitlist Response form below. Should we be able to admit additional students to the freshman class we will consider only those students who responded affirmatively to their waitlist offer.
I know I should chill, but it would be nice to know that S24 is definitely registered as having responded and is still on the waitlist! He’s focussed on AP’s and not concerned, but I always worry that he checked the wrong box! Maybe we will get acknowledgment that he responded tomorrow…

We just checked DD’s portal and also have no status change after having completed the waitlist form BUT noticed the Spring Pathways intent form has now been posted. FYI for anyone interested!

Yeah, we see the Spring Pathways but it is not an appropriate path for her. My D24 did commit to another school because not all her options moved to May 15th and her chosen one was May 1st. She is already building relationships through social media with other LC students. It is odd to think that William and Mary might lose to Lafayette College if W&M calls, but it is a real possibility now. 1 month ago, Serina would have signed her life away for W&M. But this is totally starting to feel like a bad boyfriend! Sometimes you have to love the college that loves you back.

S24 loved our Lafayette visit! Our tour guide reminded us so much of his sister (who goes to W&M). Several of the towns near campus made me think of Stars Hollow (the picturesque fictional town in Gilmore Girls). S24 didn’t end up applying because he thought he had too many reaches and ran out of steam for essays, but kids from our high school that are similar to him have had a great experience there.
S24’s plan is for Spring Pathways W&M, but if he fills out the intent form now, would that change his chances of getting a waitlist offer? I know they need kids to come to campus in spring…He’s psyched about London, but it would also be nice to have an acceptance in hand. He would also love to have two semesters with his sister (who will be a senior).

My D is a happy W&M student but Lafayette was her next favorite choice, head and shoulders above any other school on her list. I think she would have been thrilled with Lafayette! Congratulations to your D!

Pathways intent doesn’t change their status on the waitlist… last year several who had committed to Verto got off the waitlist per the Pathways parent FB group. So it’s fine to submit it now

Love Gilmore Girls. I will have to find those towns.
Unfortunatly she couldn’t get excited about London. She wont be old enough for the others and we have already been. And had already planned to go overseas to a French speaking country after taking some classes. She also really just wants to be in a campus setting I think. It would have maybe been easier for her to have made that choice if we had been able to 1) go to one of those sessions but she was way too busy 2) not had so many great backups (LC was contending with Santa Clara University for one) 3) she could have had a great way to connect with other kids doing the pathways and going to London knowing she would have had friends. She has been making friends with all the schools that accepted her to sus out if ut would be a good fit 4) Not had the pressure to choose by May 1st but it was there.
At least that is my thought.
I also did not love that there wasn’t any aid or way for her to work.
In the end, Lafayette will likely give her almost everything William and Mary would have and it is closer to home.

Called on Apr 28 (and emailed) and offered spot off WL. Given 48 hours to decide. Ultimately declined as already had committed & gotten excited about my other choice.
Only 48 hours?! Do you mind me asking, are you in state or OOS for W&M? I am assuming our chances are lower coming from CT.
