RD Admissions decisions for those admitted as Monroe Scholars came out tonight!

My daughter got into Monroe Scholars. No scholarship mention, so probably didn’t get any. I saw on FB that an OOS student got a Provost scholarship (10K/year).

Anyone heard yet when the regular decisions will be out for Willam and Mary?

They sent an email this morning. Decisions will be released tonight (Monday 3/23). No mention of what time!

William & Mary RD Class of 2030 Results Survey:

This form is for tracking decision results, so it’s all centralized for future students. If you could fill this out once you get your decision, that would be very appreciated!

You can see all other people’s individual responses in the links above, along with overall form statistics (such as what percent got accepted).

S26 was accepted, in-state!! Anyone know which accepted students day is best - Gold & Green Days or DFAS (Day for Admitted Students)? Gold & Green Days seem more personalized? DFAS seems like a larger event, and may be less personalized? Anyone know?

We didn’t do Green & Gold Days, but came in from OOS for DFAS, and felt that it was really helpful. The day is absolutely packed, with tons of energy. There are guest lectures, student organizations set up tables in the stadium so students can connect with clubs, and there’s an ice cream social where they can meet other students / connect with possible roommates / etc. It’s all-in-all a big fest of a day. It’s not “personalized”, though you can decide which breakout sessions to go to, to make it more relevant to you / your student’s interests.

You can see the difference in scope by looking at this PDF of a previous Green & Gold Day’s schedule and contrasting it with the events on the DFAS calendar.

I would definitely recommend DFAS, if your schedule allows.

Son was accepted today. He was pretty sure he wanted to do engineering, but applied computer science. Didn’t do the optional essays so a little surprised he was accepted, but he had strong stats. All A’s, one B and 12 APs. Test optional. Varsity starter all 4 years in his sport and on a strong travel team. Got into VT engineering so will be going there.

My daughter was accepted. What a happy surprise. Pych, OOS, 4.4 W, 35 ACT, tons of APs, solid ECs (not great), and I think excellent essays.
