Winstem Salem or Williamsburg

Which college town is better Williamsburg or Winstem Salem?

Never heard of “Winstem Salem.” Might that be anywhere near Winston-Salem? :)

How is this thread different from the one you already started?

Seems repetitive - but here are some comparisons. Williamsburg is very touristy - rather obvious - as the campus is adjacent to Colonial Williamsburg. I did like that you could walk across the street from campus and walk through the shopping area - again - it’s touristy - but there are places to eat, shops, a book store, etc. Within a short drive from campus there are many chain restaurants - Olive Garden and so forth and plenty of stores. I don’t think there is much in the way of nightlife - it’s more the type of things that would appeal to a family on vacation.

I think Wake Forest has less in the immediate area that you can walk to. But Winston-Salem itself is a larger metropolitan area that Williamsburg - and I would say there is more to do that would appeal to a college student.

Williamsburg is a great town. Cross between Chapel Hill and Pinehurst. Throw in a smidge of Annapolis mixed with Disney. All within an hour of Va Beach. Something for everyone.
