<p>So yeah, winter break</p>
<p>We’ll all be sitting 'round the fireplace, sipping hot cocoa from mugs with George Bush’s face on them. Good times. Jack Frost will be roasting on an open fire, and the gentiles will be singing Christmas Carols.</p>
<p>Then it will snow and some of us will go skiing or make snowmen or have snowball fights or make igloos (or snowforts) or sip fizzy apple/cranberry/grape drinks or watch reruns of The Office or be on HSL</p>
<p>for the latter people, I propose that we bring back that Apples to Apples thing whose thread I can’t find.</p>
<p>Also, what exciting plans do you have?</p>
<p>My Christmases always play out like “A Christmas Carol” with me playing the role of Scrooge.</p>
<p>The only differences are that there are no ghosts and I don’t have a change of heart at the end.</p>
<p>At least you get to laugh at that handicapped kid.</p>
<p>I wish I could laugh at handicapped kids. </p>
<p>I plan to have a fairly relaxed break. Maybe a bit of math on the side, but nothing too stressful. Mostly just chilling with my brother. I haven’t spoken to him nearly enough since he went to college.</p>
<p>I’ve played Sims 3 for the last week. Hours upon hours of it.</p>
<p>I was hoping to learn some Spanish so that I could pass out of the foreign language requirement and study some set theory too.</p>
<p>Also I wanted to work off all my sleep debt, but apparently it’s hard to get to sleep at midnight every night if you wake up at noon.</p>
<p>umm this break I’m planning to convert my friend to atheism or something near it (he really wants to be converted); get into strict ketosis for at least a week and see how I am; and understand the thermodynamic derivation of stefan’s law, but in general thermodynamics a lot better. </p>
<p>and other things too! like I want to learn a lot of deep things! but that takes investment, and focus. but I won’t let myself down.</p>
<p>The bad thing is this is the first 4 week winter break of my life and I’m already down a week.</p>
<p>Wow you have a foreign language requirement even though you’re a math major? Is that … typical?</p>
<p>The foreign language requirement is for everyone in the College of Letters and Science, not a major requirement. It seems like a fairly typical requirement.</p>
<p>^^ You should be studying Bulgarian so that the standards will be lower</p>
<p>Yeah, although some colleges allow you to waive the foreign language requirement.</p>
<p>I would’ve had to learn Bulgarian from scratch. If I don’t pass out of Spanish I might take something more interesting, like Dutch or Afrikaans.</p>
<p>I get a 2 week vacation. The first few days I’m having fun. That’s right, I’m blowing off all responsibilities and just chilling out doing nothing. Forget those supplements; that can wait until Wednesday! lol</p>
<p>Of course, after I completely waste my first few days of Christmas break I have a whole list of things I want to do:
- Finish my supplements
- Take care of all my club forms
- Make a list of New Year’s resolutions
- Work on my novel
- Write and revise some short stories for this contest
- Watch anime
- Get to lvl 70 in WoW
- Read books
- Play video games
- Update my blog
- Watch Christmas movies</p>
<p>Unfortunately drinking hot cocoa is not an option for me because I’m lactose intolerant :(</p>
<p>I’m so glad I’m not lactose intolerant. I drink an unhealthy amount of milk.</p>
<p>I used to drink milk, which was unhealthy.</p>

<p>On another note, it hasn’t even rained here in the past 2 to 3 weeks; I am disappointed.</p>
