Woke up this morning

Did you catch Frankie Vali doing a cameo?
Who was the woman that Carmela was having lunch with, with whom she apparently had had a falling out?

Yeah it was funny when the lady told Tony that Carmela was pretty insistent that AJ get into this preschool, then Tony said: yeah alot of good it did!

so…what is going to happen NEXT week–this was an episode ending that I would not have guessed at all!!!

Saw Frankie Valli’s name in the credits, but wouldn’t recognize him.

The woman Carmela was having lunch with was Big ■■■■■’s widow. Evidentally the auto repair business is doing well.

My favorite line:

Vito bragging about his weight loss: “I’m buying so many new clothes I may need to go to clothing anonymous”. Replies another wiseguy: “You should have called your sponsor before buying that jacket!”

The scariest thing I’ve ever seen on Sopranos!! :)

BTW, part of the next episode was filmed at NYU, at their dental school, in a scene that is supposedly to take place in California, (where Meadow’s fiancee flees after learning of her “family connections”). I don’t know about the rest of you but I am envisioning a scene from the movie Marathon Man in the poor guy’s future! (Dustin Hoffman in the dental chair, Lawrence Olivier as the Nazi dentist, repeating “Is it safe?” as he drills into Dustin’s molar!).

With only one episode to go, I thought I would revive this thread. For the Sopranos watchers, what did you think of last week’s episode (I thought it was great). How do you think the show will end? Speculation before this season started was that Tony may be sent to prison, but it’s now looking a lot more like he will swim with the fishes. I just hope it doesn’t end up with one of those funky dream episodes - that would be a major let down.

LOVED it.

I predict a bloodbath.

I enjoyed the article in VF–especially the bits about the Italian mamas being the true godfathers!

I thought this season has been great, culminating in last episode. What a brute Tony has been. The nerve of him to rip a recipe out of Melfi’s waiting room magazine! I understand the criminal mind studies that Bogdanovich was referring to at the dinner party were real and enjoyed the final Melfi/Tony session. Hated to see Bobby miss out on adding The Blue Comet to his collection, though.

The final episode can go so many different ways. I can’t wait!

I can’t believe I didn’t see this thread earlier. This season has been superb. I thought the scene with Melfi was terrific, and was amused at Tony’s comment that her ‘firing’ him was immoral. That’s what she should have been saying to him for the past 7 years.

I hope Sil doesn’t die - he’s my favorite sociopath of the bunch. Also, as an aside, I love Agent Harris. :)

That is probably why they opened the episode with him strangling someone - to remind the audience that despite his endearing qualities that he too is a sociopath. That way they prepared the audience for his fate. That’s also why they probably showed Christopher killing his AA buddy in cold blood - to justify Christopher’s ultimate death.

Don’t forget that Sil “took care of” Ade also.

Anyone else think the ducks will be returning in the finale?

That would be pretty classic - Tony’s body floating in a pond with ducks swimming around him.

When he was scrabbling around in the car looking for his gun, it was like Ade doing the same, looking for a way out. (I didn’t see make this connection myself, but got it from the endless Sopranos discussion at http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showforum=597</a>)

Tony drained his pool, so the ducks certainly won’t be coming back there. But that’s a great image, fundingfather.

77 pages on the last episode alone! What, do they think it’s “Duke Lacrosse” or something? :D

There were some ducks close by at the Baccala country house as they were sitting by the lake. Tony didn’t seem to notice them. Poignant how he was cradling the birthday gift Bobby gave him as he fell asleep in the final scene last week.

Hee!

Indeed. All alone in an unmade bed (literally “going to the mattresses”) with only a gun for a companion. Poignant and chilling. Tony is nearly without his Family now, and I wonder if something is going to happen to his real family, i.e. Carm or Meadow.

ONLY 77 pages on one episode? Nah…That’s only a Duke LAX wannabe… ;)
