Haha! VeryHappy has giggly butt… very apropos! :)

I think we might be done with this thread.

Oh no! Sorry … off to CC timeout for me.

I only wear ones with cotton crotch. The panti-liners stick better. I am never without a panti-liner.

No cotton; I wear the stuff that’s designed to wick sweat and dry fast. Wet/moist cotton is an invitation to a yeast infection. Moving Comfort and Patagonia are the ones I like best for comfort.

I have a mix of Jockey cotton hipsters/bikinis and a few Hanes low rise briefs (pretty much hipsters) cotton with a touch of lycra.

When we floated the grand canyon, underwear and urination and female hygene became an open topic, especially since one of the trip members was a woman who was med school faculty GYN.
Her suggestion was microfiber all the way. Cotton is absorbent but retains moisture. Wicking is better. She told us to never wear panties with cotton inside nylon because the cotten part would get sweaty and damp and breed bacteria.
Wicking fibers dry quickly. Plus are great for travel…

I like hearing from you young’uns, but Kajon and I will stick with our granny drawers.

Could I find these (maybe not these exactly, but similar) at a department store? Or an athletic supply store like Dick’s?

Any kind of microfiber? Or is “microfiber” just one thing? I guess what I am asking is, how will I know if a microfiber is wicking or not?

Microfiber makes me feel naked :(

Hanes Her Way Cotton Hi-Cuts.

Basically an only mildly racier, grown-up version of Carter’s Spanky Pants. Yowza.

This thread is making me laugh so hard. I do not look forward to the days when I am concerned about which pair of high rise cotton underwear to buy.

I’m in in my 50’s, single, and dowdy, so have pretty much forgotten what it was like to shop for ‘fetching’ undies…

^^ Seriously! I remember when it was fun shopping for underwear. :(

It’s official – CC Parent Cafe will talk about ANYTHING.

I agree with “don’t wear cotton for exercise”…esp. in hot weather. Nothing more annoying than running with sweat soaked underwear stuck to you like glue.

Anyone else like me who finds a type they love and that ALL I want to wear then they go and change the style?? I have a couple different types- depending what. I’m wearing. No briefs though - hipsters and sometimes a moderate boy cut leg.

Usually stock up at Costco. I don’t try to wear undies forever. For me, better to buy cheaper stuff and replenish. I do have a couple pair of a really nice brand called Cosa Bella that I’ll wear occasionally when I want to feel fancy.

Folding my laundry this am in front of our bonding TV show, CBS Sunday Morning…

Had to check what undies I do wear…
Turns out to be Hanes All cotton hipsters. Soft, no tags, and cheap.
When they get ratty, I don’t feel bad replenishing.

Yes, in my 50s, married wayy long. But still feel OK with my slightly less than granny pants! DH isn’t complaining.

These come in all shapes and sizes. And also have the “no panty line” option

*and no tags

Yes, absolutely no tags!

Cotton for me! A couple of years ago I took some advice from my girls… for everyday I now wear VS Hip Hugger Cotton. They are very comfortable and cute.
