So I’ve already heard back from the minister at the church and she is putting me in contact with other people there who could welcome me. She said yes, the mile walk from our hotel to the cathedral is up a huge hill, so she recommended Uber or a taxi. Will figure out the rest when someone contacts me.

Wow! Just did a quick count to see how many people who have posted on this thread are doing a march somewhere. Magic number is 61!
And there are plenty others (15+) who expressed a wish to participate, but can’t for various reasons.

I just looked at the 10 day forecast. NYC 55 and DC 63 and partly sunny in both! 
57 and cloudy here. January 21st? Heck yes, I will take that! Darn near summer weather. Time to break out the flip flops 
Kidding, I’ll be well-bundled in my wheelchair. There is one good thing about my chair- it is WAY easier to wear a blanket
At the SF march, they are providing something (sorry I didn’t read it thoroughly) for people who are impaired with their mobility. Possibly because of all the hills there.
It’s so inspiring to read this thread. Once the marches are behind us, let’s share our experiences here, OK? I would love to hear what folks have to say about the event in DC, NY, SF and elsewhere.

I heard on the radio over 600,000 are expected in DC, all states and 30 countries. There will be marches on all islands in HI. I may partipate in Honolulu, HI at our state capital when I learn more. I will ask my neighbor who is active in League of Women Voters. At least we won’t have snow or ice or cold–we may have rain or VOG or other issues.
I will march in DC no matter the weather! But I do prefer this forecast 
I will be in NYC with my H, best friend and her H, and my D. The cause is too important to sit home.
There are also probably a bunch of us who are following this thread who have not posted yet. I would love to participate but can’t do to health. My son, DIL, two grand kids and DIL’s mother will be marching in DC. Along with dozens of their friends. So wish I could join them.
I am going to try to make the one in Des Moines, not sure I will make it, but i love this poster

What is VOG? Is it volcanic fog?
More like volcanic smog.
Just registered on the Women’s March site and clicked on the volunteer information page - and they don’t need any more volunteers! Wonderful that so many have committed to the day.
The big issue is for it to continue well beyond the day and get more women elected to positions of power instead of just this flash in the pan one time symbolic march.
VOG is volcanic fog or volcanic emissions mixed with smog, depending on whom you talk with. It is a huge issue in our state for folks with breathing problems, especially since more vents opened in the volcano.
