@Barbalot thanks for that link! I’ll be marching in Austin, where the weather will likely be warmer, but it’s still good to have a comprehensive checklist.
I stand proud with all of you who will be marching. I should have known that on this wonderful board, there would be amazing women of all ages, stages, from across the country standing, marching and making a statement.
You WILL be noticed.
@doschicos the Hartford link has a bunch of **** in it…and therefore won’t open.
Google and FB searches say that CT women will unite in DC!
And men, too, who are more than welcomed to participate!
Thumper - as usual, put Facebook dot com in the place of those stars. CC overlords do not want people to link to personal Facebook pages, hence the blanket bleeping out of the entire domain.
@thumper1 replace the *** with Facebook or search Facebook for “women’s march on hartford”
Got it…Hartford Capitol North side…1:00 on January 21.
Not well publicized. When I posted a query on FB…NO ONE responded that this was taking place!
^gather your friends. Call the newspaper to take your photo. We can make this huge.
Spread the word, @thumper1!
Sometimes grass root actions have their limitations.
I’ve been amazed at the number of people who have said in the last few days that they plan to attend…I hadn’t been following it closely but i thought it had been called off but evidently not…and I predict huge crowds.
My father and Mr R are proud to be among the men who will be standing with their fellow humans.
They are not only standing for me- who literally cannot stand
- but they are standing for themselves and everyone else.
My friend is one of the 3 women organizing the march in Washington. She invited us to march with her but we can’t take off work. So, 15 of us are making the hour drive to march in LA.
It would’ve been so cool to have cc’ers meet up in DC!
I’m not going to DC but have lots of friends who are. I’ll be doing the local march.
Yes, and men. I apologize for not giving credit where due for anyone who will be out there.
I’m going. I’m not going to have a good time.
I have friends from all over the country coming. I haven’t decided yet which group to march with. Ironically, some of my DC friends (who I thought I’d march with) are leaving the area that weekend. I’m staying with a friend in Montgomery County who lives near a metro stop.
I’ve marched in one other protest, in 1989 for abortion rights.
@fireandrain I was there in 1989 too. Unfortunately, I can’t make it to DC this time. Hope to march in Boston.

Don’t forget to wear your p*** hat:

Contact your local knitting shop to purchase yarn and possibly pick up donated hats.
Please don’t wear that stupid pink cat eared hat. Please be dignified. Don’t let this be turned into a joke.
Totally agree with bus on this. The black hat she posted earlier seems perfect for the occasion.
There is a march in Seattle, too. Thinking of going - to talk kiddo out of trying to hitch a ride from here to DC.
Yes! I will be in DC. I am part of a group that bought into a charted bus in Texas. So pumped! My VOICE will be heard! If I had not found the bus charter I was going to the Austin rally. I was also at the Austin capital rally that protested Trump. There are definitely smaller marches going on by state.
