no probs.
Just rackin up that karma :]

That is most certainly a relief ^^ Thanks boy :D

My son applied late November - still nothing, two months later. I am extremely dismayed at their attitude. How can twelve other schools get info out, some almost immediately, and Rice just ignore that there is a problem? Rice bombarded him with emails to apply, fee waivers, etc. and then nothing. S has now received offers from other schools, and I am worried that his enthusiasm for Rice is fading, due to their apparent disorganization. It certainly doesn’t make them look quite as fantastic as they did in November. We’re not asking for a decision, just if they have received anything- the common ap still shows they haven’t downloaded the supplement or the info for fee waiver!

pvround2, there’s plenty of time left. Give it a couple more weeks, they can’t penalize you if it’s their fault for not notifying you.

My S applied late December and we are from CA. No login email yet, but not going to phone them about it yet. The more time they spend on the phone, the less time they have getting it out.

It is driving me nutz though

I don’t know what the problem is in the admissions department - but I do know that the rest of the university runs smoooooooth as butter. Very well-organized for other stuff.

rice can’t be this “tardy” if they are serious about being considered an elite institution. there is some level of expectation it ought to meet from perspective students and parents. computer system could be set up to auto-respond to assuage growing concerns. rice seems to be doing fine - communicatin perspectives - before applications, but not after!

still no email :[

i have received nothing so far and I applied on time as well. Not sure what the problem is…

I’ve received nothing about a log-in code from Rice, though I have had to ask some questions to someone at Rice who said they had my profile.

So…have faith. Just because you haven’t received anything doesn’t mean they don’t have it.

Thankfully I’m in no rush. I already obsessively check any info on Rice as it is. A log-in code wouldn’t help that at all. Meanwhile, why it’s taking so long…patience…

Hey guys just writing to tell u you’re not alone here… still no mail either… maybe internationals are processed later though…

My son got a letter on Saturday telling him his hs transcript was missing (I know it was sent). Today, he got an email saying the same thing. Even though we know they got the transcript, we are resending it today.

Wooohooo! got the email!

Im sure though the Undergrad admissions office is in a mess these days… They’re dealing with a record number of applications…

Grr…, they seem to not find some of the documents that I have sent them for sure (I have the courier’s receipt as a matter of fact) and now I have to resend them, (the international express mail service cost around 30 bucks, and it’s the 3rd time it happens (the previous times with other universities)

I got the email today too. It says my secondary school report is missing, even though it says submitted on commonapp. Think they just didn’t download it yet?

For my son, the teacher recommendation was missing though it was submitted on commonapp.org. We had to get hold of the teacher during Christmas holidays to get it mailed.

yeah i got the letter and the email with my pin and login . they said that the only thing im missing is my application fee even though i made sure i sent it with my application SEALED in an envelope that clearly said “Rice Application Fee” on it. Rice is really losing parts of prospective students’ application (im guessing its because 10k+ students applied this year…). I’m kind of excited right now :)

I’m freaked out that half my documents have ‘not been received’, but I really don’t have the luxury of resending them cause my teacher has left the school and refuses to answer any of my calls/texts.

Some of these documents were sent way in advance and some were sent really late, so I don’t know what to do. Maybe if we all huddle, hold hands and wait a week things may magically pop up.

I have a missing Teacher Eval as well, so my son is following up with him. Bummer because there is only one.

Wow! It seems they may have misplaced a lot of documents. I bet they will eventually turn up. I’m glad we were able to send my son’s missing documents in (again) without too much trouble. It looks like it may not be so easy for some. I would be tempted to call admissions if resending the documents was going to be a big issue.

yay! I got mine today!
it says I’m missing a transcript (I know I sent that in…hmm)
oh well
at least they have the rest!
