I’ve been seriously looking for a job for awhile, and now, I found one. I’ll be working for NYPIRG (New York Public Interest Research Group)…

I’ll be going out trying to educate people about environmental protection and global warming and get donations. The minimum amount of donations that they want us to get is $120/day, so $600/week, and 40% ($240) goes to us, then after $600, we get 38% of the money we get in donations…And the guy said that most people in the chapter here make about $450/week which is quite good, especially for a high school student. It’s also interesting, and I get to learn a lot while working. Another great thing is that it’s flexible…It’s fine that I’m going on my vacations, I just have to let them know in advance.

I’m so psyched. I need a job majorly, and here one is. It’s a lot more money than I would get at PacSun, is actually for a cause, and, might help me out in my future.

Anyone have any experience with NYPIRG? Or any other PIRG?
