@EPTR alas I do have a muffin top. Not overweight -but a have a little pooch. I don’t think that any amount of exercise is going to make it go away. I think that is just how my body works. Especially after two kids. I have gotten really tiny before and still had the pooch. I have super strong abs underneath it though
LOl. I keep telling myself it is not about how I look -that it is awesome to be able to move well without pain etc… But I would still love a flat tummy.
A little off topic but I went to a Barre class this morning with an unfamiliar instructor. I decided about ten minutes in that my husband had taken a hit out on me and had hired her to carry it out via Pilates. Good God!
I teach Barre too. Hips and knees over and over again. I still get sore every time - and I have been told I am not a particularly hard Barre class teacher. So I can see why you would feel that way. What kind of Barre was it? At a gym or a studio? Did you have an actual Barre?
Ordered a couple of sports bras off of the herroom.com site. Went to TJ Maxx and was completely disappointed; their rack of sports bras was about 6’ long. I do very little shopping these days in stores, and this one just made me depressed. I looked all over the store for anything that I might like… clothes, purses, scarves, shoes, home decor, and nothing got my attention. Their active wear just looked cheaply made.
I got a Oiselle top for xmas and I absolutely love it! It is long and made of very finely woven wool and spandex. It’s super comfy and I want to wear it all the time. Pretty pricey though. I don’t do yoga but because of the spandex I think it would stay in place, it hugs a little.
Sorry teriwitt, my TJ Maxx has tons of sports bras, I think they have an aisle and a half. I mentioned it because I bought the bra you were looking for just last week there.
Costco sells a reversible yoga pant, I have about 10 pairs. They have a wide waistband which stays put and flare at the bottom which I think gives a nice silhouette. They last forever and come in regular and long and sometimes in a capri version.
Lucy is having a good sale. My D and I randomly walked by yesterday and saw the extra 30% off sale stuff. They still had a great selection in a wide variety of sizes. I have trouble with most of the tops staying in place. I think it is just how my body is built.
I like the Costco pants for price and I think the quality is great but I still find the waistband doesn’t stat put.
Our Ross, Marshall’s are seriously lacking in any decent workout clothes. Our Ross lacks anything worth buying unless you are in the market for small kitchen utensils.
Funny how stores vary. Even within our town different TJ’s vary in terms of quantity of stuff. One store will be sparse- appears to be on purpose, trying to keep it super organized and not crowded. Another will have many racks full and plentiful.
Went to a TJ yesterday and between two of us, bought three pairs of fitness capris - Reebok and Under Armor - both under $20. A marmot long sleeve fitness top, also under $20. A North Face t-shirt for $12.99. Just depends!
