Workout Clothes Suggestions

OT…but…our local Ross stores have degenerated into what looks like a garage sale - in the late afternoon. The Marshall’s are much better but do seem to taylor their offerings to the local population. Mine carries much more workout gear and beachy stuff than do the ones located in Silicon Valley.

if you are busty, off the rack sports bras at Target, TJ MAxx and other big box retailers don’t provide sufficient support for high impact sports like running, tennis or boot camp. They may be OK for yoga, but in the end, ‘the girls’ need support and should have a good sports bra. Champion offers band and cup size sports bras.

This is my favorite sports bra - has 2 bras in one:

I’m going to put a plug in for Lulu yoga pants called Wunder Under. They are amazing for correcting small tummy imperfections without that nasty girdle feel. No riding up or down issues, either.

Teri, fingers crossed for those bras. I have always had more luck with shopping for bras online v in department stores.

Any suggestions for great yoga pants with a 35" inseam? I am fairly slim but have wide hips and large back side (but weirdly, skinny legs). It is hard for me to find yoga pants that are long enough. Don’t like the cropped styles – not a good look with the big hips.

Here are pants that come in short and tall. http://www.lucy.com/Short-and-Tall/Bottoms_Short_and_Tall,default,sc.html

Lululemon also has talls. More talls from Athleta http://athleta.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=46813

I love a pair of yoga pants I bought at Target because they have a drawstring inside the waist and so they never start riding down. I think they are C9.

Veruca, the barre class I went to yesterday was interesting and challenging. She started it like an old fashioned aerobics class. Marching in place, knee lifts, arms with light weights. Very fast paced for about twenty minutes. Then we did mat work and then went to the bar. It was very fast and very hard. My body is feeling it today.

I love pilates (with some modifications to accommodate my neck issues and scar tissue on my coccyx) and enjoy barre. Have been also doing a lot of yoga lately. I am finally starting to see some changes in my muscles.

Lululemon, used on eBay, sort by price, check the details closely.
My DDs have Lulus they bought in Canada around 2000 and they still wear those same pants.
I have two pairs that I bought cheap and used and I wear them for dog walking, they are showing some serious wear, but I alternate the two so they are likely worn 180 days/year and have been for several years over rough terrain.

@Veruca, my mother weighs about 100# and still has a pouch, I am doomed.
