I wonder how they count viewers because a lot of people are group watching in bars, outdoor screens, etc. Which has definitely added to the interest and excitement as communal activities do.

I heard a Fox thing again use the 24M number. My guess is it peaked at the higher number but to count as viewership someone has to watch so many minutes, which is what Fox officially is using.
Heartbreaking Croatia loss to Portugal yesterday in the final minutes, with a goal being called off sides after VAR. I wish Modric could have had one more appearance for his national team, I assume that is it for him.

We’re a dual citizen family so we’ve already got two other countries to cheer for, but rooting for Cape Verde may have been the most invested my family has ever been in a game in our lives. The absolute SCREAMS we let out when they equalized the second time.

My D and her husband had tickets for yesterday’s match. She sent a picture in front of the stadium to the group chat that included her uncle.
Found out from my bil that one of his boys was at the game also. Bil didn’t know his son was planning on being there until yesterday.
D texted him, they met up and took a pic for us. Found out that my other nephew was there also! So D got to see 2 of her cousins.
That was a fun surprise. My nephews live in MI and CO, my D in PA.
If my nephews had reached out, they could have stayed with D but maybe there wasn’t a lot of planning involved. No idea.

In line with article 27 of the FIFA disciplinary code, the implementation of the match suspension is suspended for a probationary period of one year
