Isn’t that what they call vigilantism? I don’t believe correcting injustice by any means possible. That’s so wrong. One doesn’t correct wrong doings by doing another wrong doing.
Vigilantism is a strong word. They found a way to interpret rule 27 (whatever that is) to achieve a desired outcome. No high-noon duels needed.
Whatever you call it, it is advocating to correct wrong by doing wrong. I don’t see what else it can be. That’s not what a civilized society resolves issues as long as I understand.
This is such a wonderful story, @Iglooo ! Thanks for sharing. The Mexicans are, indeed, very big-hearted and welcoming. It’s quite difficult to spend time there and not come away a bit in love.
I have nothing against Switzerland but I wish Colombia won last night. Colombia seemed to show more flair and intensity. Switzerland’s playing style seemed rather vanilla to me. Of course, it’s just my subjective opinion.
I also never like to see a football game decided by shootouts like that.
From the NYT live commentary:
That was a superb finish from Kylian Mbappe for the opener, but I found it curious FIFA’s world feed never showed a replay of the build-up that included what several Morocco players thought was an Adrien Rabiot handball.
It’s not exactly going to help the intense scrutiny that FIFA and its referees are already under due to the events of the past week.
And, Quansah gets a 2-game ban… no suspension of red card for him…![]()
This caught my eye…. Does it have legs ??
Probably depends whether or not Milei has a word in someone’s ear…
Props to Bono, the Moroccan goalie who did his job today. You can only save so many without scoring any and leave the field with a “W”. Next time
!
Womp womp. My last sentimental favorite is out.
I think I’m team Norway now?!
Norway is certainly the must fun team that is left and fans are amazing. I usually root for the underdog so I would be secretly happy if Norway won. I am English so if anyone asks I will say I Support England. Although England has never won in my lifetime so arguably they could be underdogs too. (1966 last win)
I can get excited about an England win too, but I’ll pull for Norway in this round. Haaland is just the right level of wacko to make things fun.
Go to Google, type in erling haaland and wait a couple of seconds…
Our Brazilian fans are not bitter about the loss to Norway. Because Haaland! ![]()
Another Norway bandwagon member! I already looked up Norway bars in Manhattan (which is where I’ll be on the 19th).
I’ve been having fun with Norway too but still am hoping for france to win it all!
We were in Paris eight years ago when France won it all, and that was unbelievably fun! I’m rooting for them and Norway. A little bit for England, because my background is English on one side (though my D says that my family came over so early that it is ridiculous to call myself half-English since my ancestors fought the English, but nevertheless, it doesn’t change my background and I thought she was being a little ridiculous…) But anyway, I really like Norway and France (my GKs are part Norwegian on their dad’s side so that makes it extra fun.)
Good one! ![]()
