Not clear if Belgium was that much better and thus made us look worse, or if we just played that badly. Really disappointing after the good play of the last game. I also think Belgium was fired up after the red card controversy.

Our defense looked shocking, especially leaving the box wide open for their 3rd goal.

lol. I think we’re going to support Norway as far as they make it,and then we’ll see.

That was a tough performance to watch last night, for sure.
Happy to still have England to cheer for, at least!

I think USA made many mistakes and Belgium made them pay for every single one of them.
I have been unimpressed by Belgium (I’m almost 50% Belgian by ancestry, so I’ve paid attention to their play) thus far but couldn’t believe how they played with such purpose last night. I THINK they had some extra motivation…………………..

Egypt’s goalie! I didn’t expect Argentina to be trailing at the half.

So disappointed that Egypt couldn’t hang on to that win! We’re Liverpool fans in our house, so I was really hoping to see Mo Salah advance!

I left the house when Egypt was up 2-0 with not a lot of time left and couldn’t believe the score when I saw it later. My son was pretty unhappy with some of the calls and said it was quite unfair. Not sure about that, but a lot of talk online.

lol, needed to keep Messi in the tournament. Fair, unbiased FIFA.

As with red card suspensions (and I include Portugal here), some teams get special treatment…
I’m working so was only keeping half an eye on the internet commentary, but I saw at least one comment where they said the Argentine was lucky not to get booked.
