World Cup 2026

To make it a double or triple-feature, there are two great docs on the U.S. women’s team called Dare to Dream and The 99ers. (The latter is on ESPN, and was just this year adapted into a feature film which I think releases in 2027.)

Oh my! Thanks for all the suggestions!! DH and I will check all of them out.

The Randolph had a big fire in 2015 and never really recovered. Graduate/Hilton acquired it in 2019. We never stayed there despite its proximity to Worcester. We preferred the Vanbrugh House Hotel right across the street from the Oxford Union and close by St. Peter’s.

Yay Brazil :brazil:!!

Ah man, I have a soft spot for the German team, but I also like seeing the poorer countries get through! Conflicted lol. (I’m nominally working but wfh today and came down to watch when it went to penalties.)

Oh, and I will be conflicted again tonight. I love the Dutch and their football energy - hup Holland hup! (prior World Cup game + was also in Amsterdam when they won I think the semi in a UEFA tournament) but I want to see all the (remaining) African teams go through!

So, the German flags are going back in the closet  Now on to cheering for Cape Verde and England. Note sure what I will do after those two are out
