I really like this announcer. This World Cup appears pretty wide open, in terms of many teams having a chance to win it. The favorites have looked underwhelming.

Congrats to Mexico. I’m coming around to rooting for El Tri. Especially since they are making efforts to kill the Puto chant on goalkicks
For me, rooting for Mexico is like rooting for the Dodgers as a lifelong Giants fan that I am. Can’t do it. That’s why Donovan is getting so much grief for making a TV commercial where he reveals he’s rooting for Mexico.
Also, I have a relative “in the system” and I’ve seen some really bad matches over the years at the youth level. So, I’m rooting for anyone but Mexico.
Under Law 12, a player removing his or her shirt is given an yellow card for unsporting behavior, just like faking an injury. But the referee has discretion, especially in a World Cup.
There will be riots in LA, Tijuana, and Mexico City tonight.

Wow, what a spectacular strike by Germany at the end. I bet there are more than a few German fans with some new gray hair.
I was running up and down my hallway, after that score. Legendary strike off a free kick. What was amazing to me is that Germany was playing with 10, when Boateng got a 2nd yellow, and they out possessed the ball against Sweden. And just a couple minutes earlier, Sweden almost scored on play where Neuer, the German GK, slipped and just barely touched the ball enough to force it wide.
What a beautiful goal by Kroos. Neuer also put in some brilliant saves. I feel like if only Germany managed to finish most of the chances they created they’d be a force to reckon with, but not seeing it at the moment.
The beauty of this world cup is that so far there is no clear strongest contender.
Absolutely brilliant performance today. Couldn’t be more pleased. Hats off to Panama for a good effort, but my 3 Lions are on our way to another WC championship. This is our year!

It was certainly very dramatic, wasn’t it? You’re right though, the real test will be against Belgium.
Japan and Senegal game was bloody. I am waiting for Poland and Columbia match at 11 AM. This match will make this weakest group be more interesting.
I’m not much of a sports fan, but I just realized this craziness will still be going on when H and I, and a few friends, go visit Germany and Belgium in a week or so. Let’s hope for good craziness!
