<p>I hate to say this, but I have the feeling that Italy is going to win. I really don’t like the Italian team, and not just because they beat Germany. They are awfully sketchy. Their defense is fantastic, and their offense has enough power to win games. Just Barthez’s questionable goalkeeping is all the Italians need to get an opportunity.</p>
<p>I’m still praying that France pulls through for the win and Zidane goes out with the bang he deserves.</p>
<p>yeap, i think italy is gonna get it. they have excellent players in every position although the forwards had been a lil inconsistent. france average age is probably about 30 years old while the italians have a lot of players in their 20s so endurance is gonna play a big factor in the final game. </p>

<p>It’s hard to pick against France. Their stifling defense has really hidden their only weakness, the goalie. They held Brazil to 1 shot! Zidane is the best player on the field every time he steps on the field. Henry is inconsistent but he can be very affective in short bursts. Even though Italy has the best goalie (Buffon), I don’t think they have the offensive firepower to beat the French defense.</p>
<p>Also, I like Portugal in the consolation game.</p>
<p>hahaha, germany is gonna take third palce, there is no doubt about that, they couldnt be angrier to be ready to finish in a good style beating portugal.</p>
<p>italy could well defeat france. they gotta get the ideal line up. not sure if lippi will line up del peiero and totti together as offensive mids and have one striker. or have one of them behind luca toni and gilardino together. in my opinion they should stop lining up in a 4-5-1 if they really have an offensive team</p>

<p>Italy vs France play very complimentary styles of football. France is an elegant passing team and Italy is the ultimate defensive team. End result, this game will end in a 0-0 draw and a penalty shootout or one team will be lucky to score and win 1-0. The key is going to be Zidane. Does he hae one more chef-d’oeuvre left in him. Win this, and he will go down in history as one of the top 3 footballers of all time.</p>

<p>Italy vs france, I hope france gets it. I didnt really think it’d end up as france/italy… but france is the classier out of the 2 and zidane has proved me wrong… experience+age triumphs youth. I like zidane!</p>
<p>Apart from figo, Portugal played reaaaaaally well. I felt bad for ronaldo and the booing (which was really disrespectful by spectators) but he played the BEST out of everyone on the field. Portugal had great ball skills, possession, passing, great everything but the coach shouldve really changed it from 1 striker to 2, or even 3.</p>
<p>Portugal’s also got an amazing goalie. Did anyone see the pentalty shots against England? Ricardo totally rocked the field.</p>
