World Geography or study hall?

I am going to be a freshman next year and I will be taking
-AP Human Geography* (I’ve been reccomended, heard it’s pretty easy from upper classmen)
-LA 9
-Advanced Geometry
-Band (I will march)
-Biology
-Performance PE (Required for one semester)
-Spanish 1 (Already speak it, hopefully an easy A)
(May also play soccer in the spring)

So for 1 semester I will have an open class spot and was considering taking a study hall or otherwise taking World Geography. I am stuck on whether I should take a study hall and if so which semester should I request it for?
*Whether it matters or not, I won my school’s geography bee with a perfect school and excel in social studies

Go for it. Electives like this are usually pretty easy.

Do not underestimate how much time Marching Band will take up during Football/Competition Season. Marching Band is a HUGE time vacuum. If you decide on the study hall and not WG, take your study hall 1st semester. Human Geo is not “hard” but it can be time consuming if you are outlining chapters.

It should be an easy A for you, but having a study hall can help keep your grades up overall.

This may be a slight consideration, but not taking World Geography (a regular class) would allow you to get a slightly higher weighted GPA as well as giving you more studying time.

UW GPA is what matters for most colleges. And it sounds like the OP would almost surely get an A in the class.

If possible, you should take a different language than Spanish if you already speak it. Admissions officers want you to challenge yourself. Plus in my Spanish 3 class there’s a girl who natively speaks it and we all kinda low-key hate her.
For the study hall vs. World Geography, I would go with the study hall because you already have AP Human Geography

I don’t know how a study hall looks, rigor-wise, to a college. Any ideas?
