Would a college count a schools work-off-your-tuition program as work experience?

So, my school’s tuition is rather steep, so apart from the scholarships and grants that I get I also participate in this program wherein I work for the school (usually in the maintenance departmand where I get to clean and be a general school ground fixer-upper) in exchange for more money to be deducted from my tuition (about 1K a year). I’ve done this program every year. Would a college consider it valid work experience?

yep, I don’t see how they wouldn’t. Work is work is work, whether it is unpaid/paid, an internship, work-study etc. Since you have experience in working off your tuition doing maintenance and being a cleaner-upper, that would definitely be a work experience :)
